PFAC   CERTIFICATION

Patient & Family Advisory Council Training Really Matters

Patient & Family Advisory Council members are integral to improving patient experience and healthcare outcomes, but only if they are properly prepared.

Patient Experience leaders now have a way to turn lay community members into effective partners in patient care and quality improvement by offering them formal training and certification through the Patient Empowerment Workshop.

The Patient Empowerment Workshop offers PFAC members tangible, practical skills in guiding families who are navigating serious illness, becoming empathetic listeners who can make patients feel heard, and working within the hospital system to effectuate change through proven quality assurance mechanisms.
