OUR MISSION

The Patient Empowerment Workshop is dedicated to helping patients get the care they deserve.
Coping with serious and ongoing illness is scary, frustrating, and bewildering. Worse, the medical systems we encounter as patients and caregivers often make things harder.
We believe that every patient and caregiver can learn the skills they need to take a seat at the table as equals. Each of us can empower ourselves to navigate the system in a way that yields the highest quality care and the best outcome possible.
The Patient Empowerment Workshop creates and hosts online, written, and interactive experiences that teach practical skills on how to cope with the stress of illness, balance life and caretaking, communicate with doctors so they listen, and stay safe in a chaotic environment. Our goal is to help you peak behind the curtain, discover how doctors think, & learn how you can maneuver the system in a way that gets you better care.
When hope is dim, we can shine the light to guide you home.
